HAND DRAWN PORTRAITS
There is something strangely satisfying about commissioning a work of art to hang on your wall that is unique, personal and can be treasured for years to come.
There was a time when commissioning a work of art was restricted to the rich and famous due to the cost, as the process involved the subject sitting many hours for the artist to capture the likeness.
With the advent of digital photography the process is much simpler and cheaper, bringing the commissioning of portraits within the financial reach of most people. They also make superb gifts for family and friends.
I use artist quality soft pastels and pastel pencils on 16" x 12" Pastelmat paper as I have found that this combination provides the best level of detail and realism. As the surface of the finished picture is fragile and can easily be damaged, if you choose not to have it framed, I have the picture professionally mounted on card with a surround to compliment the picture, and wrapped in clear plastic film to protect it prior to framing. This is included in the price.
All my portraits are signed and dated and carry a certificate of authenticity.
